Mixing wet and dry

Question:
The vet gave us a couple cans of a/d today to stimulate Riley's appetite. She said I can mix it with her dry food.
Riley ate a bit of it but not much since she'd already eaten some at the vet's office. I know you can't leave out wet/dry mix because of bacteria, but is it okay to stick it in the fridge for later? I'd like to save it so we aren't wasting so much and so I can better monitor how much she eats. But is it safe?

Answer:
I used to give chelsea wet can food if she does not want to eat to stimulate her appetide. I open the can and split it and put half of it in the freezer. This may last for 2 weeks at best !

Answer:
you could keep it in the fridge...put it in like a glad container or just put some plastic wrap on it.
Mine wouldnt eat it at first unless it was on my finger so i sat on her bed for the first 2 weeks finger fed her. My hands smelled like dog food all day.
