Max and Abbie have been on interceptor since I got them. My vet said that in addition to preventing heartworm disease, it also controls other types of worms (but not tapeworms).

I use Iverheart Max-- it does heartworm, tapeworms, and several different intestinal worms. Plus, unlike Heartgard, it comes in a toy breed size, and it is quite a bit less expensive.

My vet recommended Interceptor and allowed me to make a choice . He did say that in all his years he hadn't had any dogs with a bad reaction to the Interceptor. He said it also seemed to work best with small dogs.

Spike's vet gave him Interceptor Brown, which is a little tiny pill that he takes monthly. I think it was about $23 for a six month supply. This is what we use too...much easier to crush this pill and put in food than trying to get them to eat that block of medication. Of course, I cut it up into pieces. I have cut it up in the smallest pieces and Gracie will still pick her food out of it. This works best for us.

Answer:
I use drontal, its the best one in the UK.
