Keeping mosquitos away

Question:
 Is there anything you can do to keep mosquitos from biting the dogs? Does human mosquito stuff (off?) work? ...or is that dangerous to use on dogs?

 I treat my yard and it really helps...Avon makes Skin so soft and that may be a good repellant if you just ran some lightly on their hair

 Thanks Villette. I think I will try the skin so soft. Sometimes when we go camping there are some weedy areas but I try to keep the pups away from them. Seems like you just can't get away from the mosquitoes though.
