Dr. Harvey's Canine HealthQuestion:Hi, Has anyone heard of Dr. Harvey's Canine Health dog food? If so, what do you think of it? It is holistic dog food pre-mix. I bought a small bag at a local pet boutique. I have not used it yet but I was wondering if anyone has tried it. The lady in the store swears by it...she said she eats it too....not so sure about that but I guess.... The food itself is freeze dried instead of heat treated like most dog foods. The directions seem pretty easy. You boil the dried mix in water then add chicken, turkey or beef along with an oil such as olive, flax seed etc. You are supposed to be able to make enough for a week. After the recalls and reading about all the bad dog food out there, Im willing to try out anything that will keep him healthy. Answer: I've been cooking for my 2 this past week and saw that food online today and am going to give it a try as I'd like them to have some variety. Answer: Karla - what are the ingredients of the food and how much meat and oil do you need to add??? Sounds very interesting..... Answer: The only thing is, it is very expensive. I bought the smallest bag and it cost me 15.95! He sells it on other websites for 11.95 but I guess with shipping and tax it would come out to be the same amount. Im going to see how long this bag lasts.:( |
