What would you do with this pup?

Question:
Someone I know bred her dogs. Person isn't important but takes all precautions, testing, showing, etc. Well dad bit one of the pups in the head crushing a growth plate.
Now we are talking 2 weeks old at this time. Would you go ahead with the surgery of around $2500 and probably needing another surgery later. The crushed growth plate is not allowing enough room for the brain, hence causing issues, brain damage, etc.
Would you grow through with the surgery, possibly multiple time, knowing that there may be brain damage throughout life or would you just euthanise the pup at 2 weeks?
Just another what would you do thread

Answer:
I would chose to do what is best for this pup and euthanize it. Unfortunately, it sounds like it would have a lifetime of pain.

Answer:
i agree i think id uthanize and save it from a life of pain.

Answer:
I think I would euthanize the pup. Quality of life is a very important thing to me. It doesn't sound like he'd likely have that even if he didn't know it. On top of that, spending thousands of dollars on a maybe? Sounds kinda like a shot in the dark to me. Poor thing!

Answer:
Depending on the quality of life, i would put it to sleep aswell.

Answer:
I would also choose to put to sleep.
The breeder chose the surgery and I saw the dog now 6 months old. It looks like it will need another surgery and acts not quite "right". Bless her heart for taking care of the pup but I am with the rest of you and would have euthanised as a youngun

Answer:
I would also make the choice of putting the puppy down.

Answer:
I would put him to sleep cos it would probably be the kindest thing to do!.

Answer:
If it was my choice, knowing the heartbreak, I would put the little guy down. There is too much risk when you are dealing with the brain. You might be able to fix the growth plates but the damage to the brain is irreversable.
